Intro
Project
Objective
Create a responsive web app to explore inspiration for tattoo design and find the correct artist to execute the design.
Context
For my course project, I chose Ink Tank. The tattoo industry has a small footprint in the digital world and felt this was an opportunity to get creative. I wanted to design a simple and intuitive application for a user getting their first tattoo to users looking for their next design with a new artist.
With roughly 17% of people who get a tattoo, having partial regret, I felt that giving the user the ability to preview a design prior to booking their appointment, would help minimize that statistic.

Discovery
To kick this journey off, I needed to understand the problem space, beginning with researching possible competitors in the tattoo industry. Competitive Analysis brought on a lot of insight. The data allowed me to brainstorm some potential niches and allowed me to recognize any pain points in the competitor's applications. From there I needed to learn about all the possible users to build strong user personas.

Concepting
After getting a good understanding of what user needs were, I could begin laying the ground for Ink Tank to come alive. Building and refining user flows put wireframing into motion, piecing it all together into an intuitive design.

Prototyping & User Testing
Here we are nearing the end of the Ink Tank journey. Gathering valuable information along the way, creating iteration after iteration, with only a few steps left to refine Ink Tank. A round of user testing, some preference testing to implement a few great ideas, and a handful of accessibility adjustments, all to polish up the In Tank app.
          User Test Results
Each participant's video was reviewed and a substantial amount of
information was captured and put into an Affinity Map. This allowed
me to further break down the information into four categories:
